For teens with hearing loss, sometimes it’s hard to find the courage to self—advocate.
For some people, wearing hearing devices and using a remote microphone takes bravery. Asking a friend to repeat when everyone else heard it can leave us wishing we could just bluff our way through.
Power poses can help and they have science behind them. These specific poses have been proven to help us to feel brave and less dependent on what other people think. It’s also important to be aware of body positioning that works against us. The way we sit and stand can influence how we think and interact.
