The default training activity in LACE AI is Speech in Noise. Unless it is changed, it will stay that way.

To change the training activity from Speech in Noise to Rapid Speech or Working Memory, tap Train > Lesson and select one of Rapid Speech or Working Memory by tapping on it. This selection will remain until it is changed.

Hearing care professionals can check if their clients are using the Rapid Speech and Working Memory lessons by logging in to the professional portal. In the row displaying the client’s name, there are three dots at the end of the row. Click on the three dots and View Details. In the Training Progress section, you will see if the client is using the Rapid Speech and Working Memory lessons.

If the client has poor word recognition scores, I recommend they start with Rapid Speech, which is essentially Speech in Quiet. The speed will not increase until the client is ready.
