6 Daily Habits for People with Hearing Loss

Here are my six suggested daily habits to manage hearing loss:

  1. Eat healthfully. Research has found a Mediterranean diet to be beneficial for ear health.
  2. Express appreciation to people in your life who support your communication needs.
  3. Exercise regularly– your ears will thank you when your blood sugar and blood pressure levels are as close to your target levels as possible.
  4. Explain WHY you might have to ask for clarification. Disclose your hearing loss!
  5. Use non-verbal cues to help people to remember to slow down and speak up.
  6. Tension relievers: my fave is the physiological sigh https://heara.ca/tension-reliever-for-pwhl/
