Lipreading Instruction:  Classes


Lipreading classes in Calgary. I'm teaching the classes below on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Sign up for one, or take them all! No experience is necessary--difficulty level will be tailored to participants' needs. If you've already taken lipreading classes through the Hearing Strategies program, this content will still be fun and challenging for you! 

Classes are held at Deaf and Hear Alberta, 63 Cornell Rd. NW. Call 403-284-6200 to register. Cost is $49.00 for each four-hour class.

The next series of classes will be as follows:

 

September 17, 2016: P,B,M sounds

October 1, 2016: F,V sounds

October 15, 2016: Vowels and Numbers

October 29, 2016: W, Wh sounds

The support groups below may be able to give you information on lipreading classes that are available locally.  Lipreading is often combined with conversation therapy when offered by support groups.  Contact your local branch or chapter.

Hearing Loss Association of America has 200 chapters in the United States. 

Canadian Hard of Hearing Association has 53 branches, nine provincial chapters and two national networks. 

Canadian Hearing Society has 26 locations in Ontario.
